COVID-19 Workplace Issues

IHRP can assist a business with the ongoing workplace issues associated with COVID-19 and employees in the workplace.  We believe that COVID-19 will continue to be an ongoing workplace issue which employers will have to address.  IHRP has:

  • Developed COVID-19 Return to Work policies and procedures, which included testing protocols, social distancing, cleaning protocols for offices, etc.
  • Assisted companies with compassionate layoffs
  • Recommended ways to address the new (to many workplaces) telework environment for employees.  Now working on how to effectively implement hybrid workplaces.
  • Since March 2020 when COVID-19 appeared, have advised small businesses on a variety of workplace issues associate with COVID-19. 

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Belonging

Organizations both large and small are striving to understand and implement DE&I principles in their workplaces.  They want their employees to understand the concepts in order to begin to create cultures that value and respect them.  They want employees to be able to bring their authentic selves to work and feel like they belong in that workplace.  It takes time and considerable effort to create an inclusive workplace.  Leaders of companies must show their employees that they value them and that they will support the work that has to be done to create these workplace cultures of inclusion. In support of this culture change, IHRP provides:

  • Compassionate training on DE&I issues, terms and processes
  • Leadership DE&I training and consultation.  “Starts at the top”
  • Consultation on techniques and strategies to use in order to incorporate valuing all employees in your workplace. (Retention of diverse employees)
  • Provide Equity Audits on business/organizations processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Facilitate the development of a company Equity Plan.
  • Through consultation, support a company’s DE&I committee, task force, Employee Resource Groups.
  • Development of a company’s DE&I policy.
